Multicolr Search Lab, powered by Multicolor Engine, is an online tool that searches the Creative Commons images on Flickr and extracts the colors from those images.

Multicolr is very easy to use. Simply start by selecting the color you want. Multicolr permits up to five colors. The divider allows users to adjust the color composition (by percentage) when you add more than one color. Don’t like a color, just click on the trash button. If you want to adjust the current color, hover your mouse over the color you wish to change and click on the color wheel. This is where you can type in a specific hex value. Multicolr allows users to enter tags to narrow the results. It’s fun, right?

Multicolr is a good resource for designers looking for inspiration or color palette ideas.
Another tool by MulticolorEngine is Color Extraction. This tool extracts the colors from images and displays the color palette. Simply upload an image (JPG, PNG, or GIF) or provide a URL. That’s all! Both tools are easy and fun to use.
