Are you looking for a free or cheap online photo editor? When Adobe Photoshop isn’t available, one of my favorite photo editors I like to use is Pixlr. It is a fairly well known web-based photo editor. With Pixlr, there is no software to download so you can begin editing right away. What I like about Pixlr is they offer three different ways to edit: Pixlr Editor, Pixlr Express and Pixlr O-Matic. Pixlr Editor is where you can make the most edits and changes to your photo. Pixlr Express is much like it sounds, a fast and simple way to edit your images. Pixlr O-Matic allows you to choose from a variety of filters. Pixlr Express and Pixlr O-Matic are both available on your mobile device.
Pixlr Editor is setup much like Adobe Photoshop. All your editing tools are on the left side and your layers, history and navigator are on the right side. Pixlr supports JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, and PXD. I often find myself using Pixlr if I need to touch up someone’s complexion before I post it to Facebook. Pixlr includes a spot heal tool that can help correct any imperfections. Perhaps you need to crop someone out of a picture but need to make it look like you didn’t cut the person out. You can use the cloning tool to help. Pixlr has many other interesting and fun features.
Cool features:
- Includes many options for filters, adjustments and layers
- Don’t speak English? No problem, Pixlr allows you to change languages
- Easy to navigate interface
- You don’t need an account or login to use Pixlr
- Offers different saving options: Computer, Pixlr library, Facebook, Flickr or Picasa
