Wearables such as smart watches and bracelets are all the rage. What’s the latest wearable technology? Introducing the MOTA SmartRing, which is a small ring that vibrates when your smartphone has notifications. Like most of the wearable technology, the device uses Bluetooth to alert users of notifications. Users can receive alerts such as text messages, phone calls, email, calendar events, and social media. The ring advertises that users will be able to control what notifications they receive using the VIP feature. To view the different notifications on the ring, users must scroll. The SmartRing is water-resistant and is available in two colors: midnight black or pearl white. The device is compatible with Android and iOS.
The MOTA SmartRing does not have a release date but advertises that customers can pre-order the device soon. The device will be unveiled at the IFA in Berlin on September 5th. Hopefully we will have more updates after the IFA conference.
